DRUMBEAT is just what you’ve come to expect from Alloy Yachts – a big, sleek super-sailer that does not stint on luxury. From the helm positions on the flybridge you can really appreciate her sailing prowess – even if you do so from a laid-back position on the sun beds beneath the mizzen mast’s boom… Once the sails are dropped and you are at anchor, you can enjoy unrivalled views up here as you sip a sundowner. Later, you can dine in the aft cockpit below, benefitting from the night’s breeze, then enjoy a coffee on the on-deck sofas built from sturdy polished teak and deeply cushioned. Just inside, the main saloon is yet another seductively comfortable spot, with deep armchairs and footstools. The style is modern-traditional, using the best of timeless styling - warm wood panelling and pale fabrics but kept clean and unfussy, suiting the modern art that adorns the walls. If you fancy a meal inside, or perhaps just a game of cards, the lovely star-grained dining table is waiting for you. Each of the guest cabins follows the same style, with pale marbles complementing the wood and furnishings. The cabins are a good size for a sailing yacht, often with seating or small office spaces. The bunk bed triple will be a real hit with the children, who will also love the watertoys. Accessed from the large swim platform they can learn to sail in Topaz dinghies, while you get to grips with the underwater scooter, waterskis or windsurfer.
